Our Story

At Kyzens Consulting, we believe operational excellence shouldn’t have to be intimidating. Our name derives from “Knowing Your Zens”, and is inspired by the Japanese business philosophy of 禅 (zen): a calm, clear, and purposeful flow of thoughts and actions. It reflects how we help businesses find that same approach in the way they operate.

After working across the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, our founder saw a pattern: Large consulting firms focus on big businesses, while small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are often left behind. Yet these are the businesses that keep communities running and economies strong. Kyzens was built to give them access to the same quality of insight and improvement, without the corporate price tag or the intimidating formality.

Using proven Lean Six Sigma methods, we work side-by-side with you to simplify, streamline, and strengthen how your business runs. We cover process mapping, workflow documentation, process improvement, productivity analysis, resource optimisation, scenario planning and simulation, workshops, and lean coaching — all in plain English and tailored to your goals. No corporate mumbo-jumbo!

We know that many business owners hesitate to reach out to big-name consultants, not because they don’t want to improve, but because it feels like those firms were never built for them. Kyzens is different. By listening carefully, asking the right questions, and challenging assumptions, we uncover opportunities that others overlook. We’re here to make improvement approachable, affordable and practical.

The outcome? Better productivity, higher quality, and happier customers, all achieved with calm, clarity, and a sense of purpose. That’s what knowing your Zens is all about.
